Overview

MinistryHub is partnering with Eucharist Church to search for a Rector to lead their vibrant community in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will shepherd a deeply thoughtful church while navigating a post-Christian context, emphasizing spiritual depth, pastoral care, and community building.

Key responsibilities

  • Preach and teach with biblical clarity and theological depth
  • Shepherd a diverse congregation with humility and compassion
  • Cultivate a Benedictine-inspired spiritual life among the people
  • Shape a robust vision of discipleship and catechesis for all ages
  • Lead collaboratively with staff and vestry toward strategic growth and outreach
  • Represent Eucharist within the ACNA and local community

Required skills

  • Holds an MDiv or equivalent
  • Previous ordained Anglican ministry experience
  • Deeply Christ-centered faith
  • Rooted in historic orthodoxy
  • Articulates traditional biblical view of Christian sexuality
  • Emotionally grounded with a warm pastoral presence
  • Non-anxious leadership style
  • Navigates post-Christian complexity with wisdom
  • Collaborative spirit
