Overview

Comhar Inc. is seeking a Recreation/Community Integration Coordinator for their Forensic LTSR program in Easton, PA. This role involves providing recreational activities and therapeutic interventions to support individuals in achieving their recovery goals, while fostering community engagement and integration.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate recreational activities within the LTSR and community
  • Design activity schedules in partnership with LTSR Peer Government
  • Organize community integration and inclusion opportunities
  • Establish relationships with community organizations for skill building
  • Coordinate transportation needs for scheduled activities
  • Submit activity budget projections and receipts in a timely manner
  • Document activities in clinical charts and residential logs
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Report crises and program issues accurately and timely
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation or related field
  • 2 years of experience in mental health and community engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of behavioral health systems and community resources
  • Ability to work independently and handle changing priorities
  • Computer skills
