Overview

As a Recreation / Activity Assistant at Pine Point Center, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of patients and residents through the planning, organization, and implementation of engaging activities. This position is set within a collaborative and inclusive work environment dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals in long-term care.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and implement engagement activities
  • Meet the diverse physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of patients and residents
  • Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services
  • Document patient/resident attendance and participation levels
  • Attend care plan meetings as needed

Required skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed organizational abilities
  • Record keeping skills
  • Ability to engage positively with personnel, residents/patients, family members, and the community
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English
