Overview

Adult Residential Support Professional - 2nd Shift Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan is seeking an Adult Residential Support Professional to join our team at Fahrman Center. Fahrman Center is a 42-bed residential treatment facility providing substance use treatment and restorative justice services for adults in a supportive, recovery-focused environment. As an Adult Residential Support Professional, you'll provide guidance, supervision, and compassionate support to residents while helping create a safe, structured environment that promotes recovery and personal growth. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible 2nd shift position working evenings and some weekends. Please Note: Due to contractual requirements with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Fahrman Center must have one male and one female staff member on duty at all times. The current opening requires a male staff member who is able to conduct observed urine analyses (UAs) for male residents. Essential Duties & Responsibilities This list is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded as business needs require.Provide supervision, support, and positive role modeling to residents.Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.Observe, document, and report resident behaviors, progress, and daily activities.Support residents in achieving their individualized treatment goals.Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations.Monitor and/or administer medications in accordance with program policies.Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, housekeeping, and other daily living activities.Transport residents to appointments, meetings, and other approved activities.Collect urine specimens for urinalysis and administer breathalyzer tests as required.Facilitate educational and life skills groups within program guidelines.Maintain confidentiality while communicating professionally with residents, coworkers, and community partners.Attend required meetings and trainings.Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience working in substance use treatment, behavioral health, mental health, human services, or a related field.College coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.DHS 83 training (Fire Safety, First Aid, Standard Precautions, Medication Administration), or the ability to complete required training after hire. Work Environment This position is based in a residential treatment setting and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and using stairs. Employees may also assist with outdoor activities, including resident supervision and seasonal property maintenance. Local travel may be required to transport residents and support program operations.
