Overview

Description: The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying and documenting incoming materials, supplies and products. This role ensures that all received goods match purchase orders and shipping documentation, are properly recorded in inventory systems and are distributed to the appropriate locations. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse and production operations. Requirements: Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary at any time. Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips and bills of lading Inspect shipments for damages, shortage or discrepancies and report issues promptly Accurately record received materials in inventory management systems Label, sort and route materials to designated storage or production areas Maintain organized receiving and storage areas Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, quality and production teams regarding received materials Prepare and maintain receiving records and documentation Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts and reconciliation activities Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as authorized Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures and quality standards Process returns, rejected materials and vendor discrepancies, as required processes Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly manner at all times practicing 5S Must have strong written and verbal communication skillso Ability to communicate in English requiredQUALIFICATIONS1. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control or related experience preferred Experience using ERP, WMS or inventory management systems preferred2. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders Strong organizational and time-management skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic mathematical skills for co9unting and inventory verification Familiarity with warehouse safety proceduresPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environments with varying temperatures and noise levelsCompensation details: 22-25 Hourly WagePIe22c37b167c0-7743
