Starting wage: $66,000+ per year depending on experience.REBAR DETAILERJob DescriptionA rebar detailer performs routine to moderately complex drawings, detailing and other related duties to produce plans necessary for the fabrication and placement of reinforcing steel bars and related accessories in accordance with customer contract documents, industry standards and/or established practices and procedures. The ability to read, understand, and critique architectural and structural blueprints leading to the production of take-offs and material lists is crucial. Detailers use care to ensure the efficient use of materials, fabrication methods and timely delivery of finished products.Duties/ResponsibilitiesProduce rebar drawings that conform to industry and company standards for various structures using CADD programs.Produce accurate and detailed lists of materials for shop fabricationProduce material/quantity take offs for residential and commercial projectsWork closely with engineers, architects, contractors, rebar fabricators, delivery drivers, and billing department to foresee the project runs as smoothly as possible.Assist with the research of detailing, fabrication and field problems.Coordinate and account for any changes in our scope of workMaintain accurate records, a desirable work area, and a high level of customer serviceAssist with any other duties as assigned or neededExperience and EducationAssociates degree in drafting or design a plus. Three years of experience drafting in construction field. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Ability to read and understand project specifications, drawings, and details required. Some knowledge of concrete and rebar codes is an advantage.
