Job Description

Overview

The Real Estate Title Manager at Aldridge Pite LLP is responsible for overseeing title functions related to foreclosure processes and other transactions in MD, DC, and VA. This managerial role includes managing title examiners and curative staff, ensuring compliance with client directives, and enhancing operational efficiencies within the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activity and manage quality and timelines for title examination and title curative
  • Ensure compliance with client reporting and procedural changes
  • Review staff performance and implement corrective measures as needed
  • Stay updated on changes in title standards
  • Collaborate with title attorneys and client managers to identify efficiency enhancements
  • Create and maintain work aids and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Provide ongoing training to support staff
  • Facilitate team and departmental meetings
  • Coordinate with IT on platform changes and reporting
  • Oversee title curative work, including filing claims and drafting legal documents
  • Collaborate with title insurance underwriters for curative resolutions
  • Monitor productivity and job performance of team members
  • Act as the first level of escalation for any arising issues

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least three years of experience with Title Examinations
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in real estate title management
  • Experience with BKFS and Tempo highly preferred
  • Mobile Home experience preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
