Job Description

Overview

Aldridge Pite LLP is seeking a Real Estate Title Manager to oversee title functions related to foreclosure processes and other title transactions in MD, DC, and VA. The role involves managing title examiners and curative staff, ensuring timely and quality title examination, and implementing procedural changes to meet client directives.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activity and manage quality and timelines for title examination and title curative
  • Oversee client reporting and procedural change implementation
  • Ensure compliance with client directives by meeting timelines and metrics
  • Review staff performance and take corrective measures
  • Stay up to date on changes in title standards
  • Work with attorneys and client managers to enhance operational efficiencies
  • Create and maintain work aids and SOPs
  • Provide ongoing training to support staff
  • Identify areas to increase billing and referrals
  • Facilitate team and department meetings
  • Coordinate with IT on platform changes and reporting
  • Oversee title curative work including filing of title claims and drafting legal documents
  • Collaborate with title insurance underwriters for curative resolutions
  • Monitor productivity and job performance of team members
  • Provide the first level of escalation for any issues that arise

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least three years of work experience with Title Examinations
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • BKFS and Tempo experience highly preferred
  • Mobile Home experience preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and attendance
  • Team player with the ability to assist in multiple areas
