Builder GC LLC is seeking an In House Counsel to join their team in Miramar Beach, FL. This role is essential for providing legal and operational guidance within their expanding real estate portfolio, which encompasses properties across six states. The ideal candidate will focus exclusively on the company's interests and contribute significantly to their growth trajectory.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on construction-related contracts
  • Review real estate closing packages
  • Collaborate with operation managers, accountants, vendors, and builders
  • Manage real estate closings on acquisitions, refinances, and construction lending
  • Construct, review, and negotiate contracts
  • Manage disputes and external litigation
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement company policies for legal compliance
  • Advise on employment law matters and support HR
  • Assist in corporate governance and compliance matters
  • Provide legal insights and operational business strategies

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Active license to practice law in Florida
  • 3-5 years experience in real estate and construction law
  • Strong understanding of contract law and dispute resolution
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving skills
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
