Job Description

Overview

NorthPoint Development LLC is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to support its accounting department amidst a variety of construction projects. The role emphasizes collaboration and mentorship within a culture that values its employees as key assets.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Development Managers to prepare and monitor construction project budgets
  • Communicate with Development Managers for coding invoices and budget revisions
  • Prepare monthly construction draw packages for lenders
  • Compile monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
  • Work with property managers on annual operating budgets and forecasts
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all entities
  • Manage and track funding for each project
  • Assist in preparing capital outlay reports and tax returns
  • Prepare depreciation and amortization schedules for assets

Required skills

  • Accounting or business degree
  • Master's in business or accounting (preferred)
  • CPA or desire to obtain CPA license (preferred)
  • Two or more years of work experience
  • Yardi accounting system
  • Financial reporting
