Overview

The Ramp & Customer Service Agent at Horizon Air is responsible for handling various tasks related to guest interactions and ramp operations. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, assisting passengers with travel needs, and performing outdoor functions in all types of weather while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist guests with travel needs including inquiries, baggage, ticketing, and boarding
  • Perform below wing functions such as transporting baggage, loading and offloading cargo
  • Conduct aircraft grooming and security searches
  • Manage boarding and gate duties, including announcements and processing upgrades
  • File and maintain luggage claims for damages and delays
  • Lift and move luggage and cargo using conveyor belts
  • Perform other assigned duties to ensure complete guest satisfaction

Required skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to learn and operate computerized reservation systems
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Preferred: 1 year of customer service or community service experience
