Job Description

Overview

The Ramp & Customer Service Agent at Horizon Air is responsible for ensuring a smooth travel experience for guests by performing various above and below wing tasks, including guest interactions and ramp functions. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment while managing luggage, assisting passengers, and performing aircraft-related tasks in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist guests with travel inquiries and needs, including baggage and ticketing.
  • Load and offload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts.
  • Perform boarding and gate duties, including directing guests and making announcements.
  • Maintain guest luggage claims for damaged, delayed, and pilfered items.
  • Conduct aircraft grooming and security searches.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to ensure guest satisfaction.

Required skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience with computerized reservation systems
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
  • Lifting capability of up to 50 pounds
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Flexibility in working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance
