Overview

The Railcar Quality Assurance Manager Trainee position at CalmHR Inc is an entry-level role focused on quality assurance within the railcar industry. The role involves establishing and managing the quality system in accordance with industry standards while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure product quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish, implement, and manage the quality system according to AAR standards and customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain performance measurement systems and continual improvement initiatives
  • Organize and execute internal and external audits
  • Conduct ongoing quality-related employee training
  • Maintain quality assurance documents and records
  • Review the QA system regularly with upper management
  • Proactively initiate plans of action to prevent nonconformities
  • Identify and record issues related to product and process quality
  • Recommend and verify solutions to QA-related problems
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the company

Required skills

  • Previous work experience in a QA role
  • Engineering experience
  • Logistical experience
  • Railcar knowledge (willing to train)

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
