Overview

The Radiology Technologist at OhioHealth's Urgent Care Athens prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures according to established guidelines. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency while working with patients and conducting various radiographic studies.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies.
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs and position patients appropriately according to department policies.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including greeting and explaining procedures clearly.
  • Process images for interpretation and perform QC tests on imaging equipment.
  • Assume duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT certification and Ohio Radiologic License
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team member with limited supervision
