Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Radiology Technologist for their Urgent Care facility in Athens, Ohio. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, performing diagnostic radiology procedures, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the process according to established guidelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and conduct routine radiographic studies.
  • Manage fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment.
  • Ensure radiation safety for both operator and patient.
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs and position patients correctly for procedures.
  • Critique images for quality and repeat if necessary.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and maintain proper records in the electronic medical record system.
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients.
  • Assume duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary.
  • Process and quality check imaging outputs.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • Ohio Radiologic License
  • Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and equipment
  • Ability to perform proper technique and positioning with radiographic anatomy knowledge
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
