Overview

Ascension Wisconsin Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist (PRN NIGHTS/DAYS) to perform various imaging procedures including CT and X-Rays with minimal supervision. The role involves providing technical assistance and patient care, maintaining imaging equipment, and adhering to quality control protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures including X-Rays and CT scans
  • Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care
  • Operate and maintain imaging department equipment
  • Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies and regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation in both paper and electronic formats
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing as needed
  • Conduct routine maintenance and function checks for imaging equipment
  • Perform Quality Control and Proficiency Testing as required
  • Assist in the emergency room as needed
  • Travel to all facility locations as required

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology
  • Associate's degree in Radiology (preferred)
  • Certified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography
  • ARRT certification in computed tomography (preferred)
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • 2+ years of radiologic/imaging experience (preferred)
  • 1+ year of CT experience (preferred)
  • 1+ year of emergency room experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency with X-ray/CT equipment and PACS
