Overview

The Radiology Technologist, Acute - Imaging Float Pool position at OhioHealth involves preparing patients for examinations and performing diagnostic radiology procedures in accordance with established guidelines. The role emphasizes patient safety and care while utilizing advanced imaging technology to obtain quality diagnostic images.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and routine radiographic studies.
  • Conduct specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment.
  • Ensure radiation safety for both operator and patient.
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs and position patients correctly.
  • Critique images and repeat as necessary for optimum quality.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring proper attire.
  • Process images for interpretation and perform quality control tests on X-ray units.

Required skills

  • ARRT certification and Ohio Radiologic License
  • BLS certification
