Job Description

Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist for the Dublin Methodist hospital's Radiology department, working primarily on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. The role involves preparing patients for examinations and performing diagnostic radiology procedures in line with established guidelines and protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and routine radiographic studies
  • Conduct specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment
  • Ensure radiation safety for both operators and patients
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs by positioning patients correctly for optimal results
  • Critique images and repeat as necessary for quality assurance
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures and making entries in electronic medical records
  • Process images for interpretation and perform quality control tests on X-ray equipment

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • Registered with ARRT and possess Ohio Radiologic License
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and techniques
  • Strong customer service skills and pleasant demeanor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
