Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Radiology Technologist for their Acute department at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. This full-time position in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment requires performing diagnostic radiology procedures and providing excellent patient care. The role includes a variety of responsibilities and offers opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and conduct routine radiographic studies.
  • Conduct fluoroscopy studies using digital fluroscope equipment while ensuring radiation safety.
  • Position patients properly for examinations to obtain optimal images.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring understanding of procedures and proper attire.
  • Assume duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary and process images for interpretation.
  • Perform quality control tests on X-ray units and assist students in the radiography program.

Required skills

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Graduation from an accredited radiography program
  • Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and equipment
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team with limited supervision
