Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist to join their growing Radiology department at O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio. This role involves preparing patients for examinations and performing diagnostic radiology procedures in accordance with established guidelines. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible external applicants with a one-year commitment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures including routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies using digital fluroscope equipment.
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs by properly positioning patients and anatomical parts.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and ensure they understand the procedures.
  • Assume duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary and process images for interpretation.
  • Conduct quality control tests on X-ray unit as needed.

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • Registered with ARRT and holds Ohio Radiologic License
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association
  • Thorough knowledge of medical imaging procedures and equipment
  • Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities
  • Ability to function as a team member with limited supervision
