Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join their team in Delaware, Ohio. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, performing diagnostic radiology procedures, and ensuring safety and quality in patient care, following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and conduct routine radiographic studies
  • Utilize digital fluroscope equipment for routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies
  • Provide radiation safety for both the operator and patient
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs by positioning patients to acquire optimal images
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring proper attire
  • Process images for interpretation and perform quality control tests on X-ray units
  • Assist with electronic imaging tasks and work with radiography students as needed

Required skills

  • Registered with ARRT and holds ODH Ohio Radiologic License
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Thorough knowledge of medical imaging procedures and equipment
  • Proficient in handling and administering ionizing radiation and contrast media
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Superior customer service skills and a pleasant demeanor
