Overview

BAS Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Physician to join their team in Fort Hood, Texas. This position involves providing comprehensive diagnostic imaging services in a supportive community with a strong military presence, operating 24/7 to ensure quality patient care. The role includes a rotating schedule with varying shifts and on-call responsibilities to maintain continuous coverage.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies including plain film, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography, and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Deliver STAT interpretations within 15 minutes of study availability
  • Meet report turnaround expectations: STAT: 1 hour, ASAP: 24 hours, Routine: 72 hours
  • Perform fluoroscopic exams and special procedures; provide same-day interpretation
  • Offer diagnostic consultation and collaborate with referring providers
  • Interpret studies from civilian and federal facilities as needed within 24 hours of receipt

Required skills

  • MD or DO degree
  • US-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency completion
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Active Texas medical license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience with MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and fluoroscopic procedures
