Overview

Duke Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for its Duke Urgent Care Float Pool, which serves multiple urgent care facilities throughout North Carolina. This full-time role involves performing radiographic procedures and providing patient care in a dynamic environment committed to compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated anatomical areas
  • Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure and radiation safety
  • Explain x-ray procedures and position patients appropriately
  • Monitor equipment and assist physicians during special procedures
  • Process images for optimal quality and match with appropriate paperwork
  • Educate and train radiology technology program participants
  • Provide orientation to new technologists

Required skills

  • Experience as a certified Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT certification (must obtain within one year for Level I)
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in operating x-ray equipment and performing radiographic procedures
  • Technical skills in diagnostic imaging and patient care
