Job Description

Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a casual Radiation Therapist for the Radiation Oncology department at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves delivering radiation therapy treatments as prescribed and preparing patients for their therapy sessions while maintaining communication with families and hospital staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Administers Radiation Therapy treatments on a daily basis
  • Maintains daily records of treatment, dosages, and other necessary treatment records
  • Performs simulations and obtains treatment parameters, patient contours, and dose calculations
  • May be required to be on-call for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
  • Maintains patient schedules and accommodates patients as best as possible
  • Monitors patient condition and progress regularly
  • Assists Radiation Oncologist with Brachytherapy procedures
  • Oversees and directs clinical activities of Radiation Therapy Technology students
  • Participates in Department Clinical QA activities and tumor board meetings

Required skills
