Description Location: UCHealth Leprino Building AMC: Aurora, CO Department: Metro Denver Radiation SafetyWork Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $28.38 - $39.74 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceThis position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote optionSummary:Supports the Radiation Safety Program using specialized equipment, software and technical skills.Responsibilities:Prepares patient rooms for radiopharmaceutical therapy to prevent the spread of radioactive material and maintain exposures to patients and staff as low as reasonably achievable. Decontaminates radioactive materials spills and properly disposes of radioactive and non-radioactive waste. Ensures regulatory standards are met prior to release for unrestricted use. Monitors compliance with lead apron inspections; assists and trains clinical personnel as needed.Tracks required information. Obtains data and coordinates compliance with regulations and policies. Assists radiation and radioactive materials users with processes to ensure compliance with regulations.Assists with audits related to the use of radiation and radioactive materials. Supports the laser safety program by performing audits and providing training.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:Associates Degree in Physics, Radiology, or related field.
