Job Description

Overview

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc is seeking experienced CMM Quality Inspector/Operators for 1st and 2nd shifts in Mason, Ohio. This role involves inspecting production and prototype hardware using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and requires effective communication with engineering and management to optimize measurement processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret operational sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers
  • Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment
  • Perform incoming part inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to customer specifications using precision measuring tools
  • Load, unload, and analyze measurement data to identify deviations from specifications
  • Operate overhead crane when necessary
  • Document actions and maintain control charts, travelers, and ERP reporting
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Communicate effectively with engineering, management, and CNC operators
  • Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Experience with Calypso, OpenDMIS, or MCOSMOS software
  • Experience with ZEISS, Mitutoyo, or WENZEL CMM machines
  • 3+ years of experience in CMM operation and precision measuring tools
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
