Job Description Job Description Location: Alpharetta, GASalary:$65,000 - $85,000 per yearJob Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in millwork manufacturing to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. This role is responsible for driving quality initiatives, supporting engineering and production teams, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications and industry standards.Extensive millwork experience is required. Candidates without hands-on experience in millwork, architectural woodwork, cabinetry, or custom wood product manufacturing will not be considered.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.Partner with Engineering, Production, and Operations to identify and resolve quality concerns.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Conduct inspections, audits, and process evaluations to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.Monitor production quality metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.Support new product launches and engineering changes.Ensure compliance with quality management systems and manufacturing best practices.Lead investigations into non-conforming products and implement corrective actions.Train production personnel on quality procedures and standards.Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing product quality.QualificationsExtensive experience in millwork manufacturing is required.Experience with architectural millwork, cabinetry, custom wood products, fixtures, displays, or commercial casework.Strong understanding of woodworking processes, materials, hardware, and manufacturing methods.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.Experience with quality systems, inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent manufacturing experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a custom manufacturing environment.Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.Experience supporting engineering and production teams in a high-volume manufacturing facility.Familiarity with CAD or SolidWorks is beneficial.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who understands millwork manufacturing from the ground up and can serve as a technical resource for quality, engineering, and production.
