Job Description

Overview

The Quality Engineer at JTS is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability in the manufacturing environment. This role acts as a liaison between various departments, supporting quality assurance processes, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO and industry standards.
  • Develop and update inspection procedures, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Oversee and validate the effectiveness of inspections to verify product conformance.
  • Review and approve supplier and manufacturing documentation for compliance.
  • Assist with audits to ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Lead root cause investigations for nonconformities and customer complaints.
  • Develop and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Utilize problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Analysis.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics.
  • Partner with teams to execute Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing teams with quality-related issues.
  • Assist with new product introductions to ensure quality throughout the process.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality standards
  • Experience in root cause analysis, CAPA, and statistical process control (SPC)
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong understanding of measurement tools and inspection processes
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality management software
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
