Overview

Ecolab is hiring a Quality Engineer to join our team in at our Carrollton Plant The primary objective of this position is to assist the Garland manufacturing facility in their quest for continuous improvement in quality, process control, material efficiency, and startup of new product production. Ongoing activities will include quality problem resolution at manufacturing plants with a focus on plant capabilities. Other responsibilities include, plant or supplier quality audits complaint handling and resolution process, statistical process control techniques, assisting the plants in reducing batch adjustments, training, product introduction with related manufacturing capability analysis and other related duties as assigned by the Plant Quality Manager. What You Will Do: Support continuous improvement programs through execution and utilization of quality tools. Support improvement and sustainment of a facility-wide document control program by create, revise, and maintain applicable standard operating procedures, work instructions, and single point lessons for Production & Quality. Monitor and measure key QMS KPIs for trends and performance against objectives, including but not limited to, First Pass Fail, Bad Batches, Blocked & Restricted Stock, Internal Nonconformances NCRs, Customer Complaints, and Supplier Nonconformances SCARs, by managing and maintaining these programs to ensure comply to Ecolab, ISO, NSF and any other regulatory standards. Collaborate with lab technicians, production leads, corporate quality, and other required cross functional groups, to facility & assist with internal & external customer complaint investigations through root cause analysis and establish corrective/preventive actions Initiate, drive, and support Corrective and Preventive Action reports for product non-conformances Support quality and manufacturing on reducing material loss cost. Supports plant functions during external and internal audits including ISO 9001, NSF, Halal, Kosher and customer audits. Spend over 40% of the time in manufacturing area to provide support and immediate corrective actions when needed. Support quality department in materials movement and transaction using corporate ERP system. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, food science, or other STEM discipline 2 years of experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment Experience in non-conformance handling and/or Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventative Actions Immigration sponsorship NOT available for this positionPreferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in a technical field, in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline Outstanding communication and teamwork skills Possess the ability to be self-directed and simultaneously manage multiple projects and objectives Experience in advanced quality tools, such as PFMEA, auditing, and New Production Introduction a bonus What's in it for you: Starting on Day 1: Access to our comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, matching 401K, company-paid pension, stock purchase plan, paid parental leave, select discounted childcare resources, and more!
