Overview

The Quality Engineer at U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is responsible for ensuring quality requirements and goals are met for both internal and customer-related processes. This role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating with various departments, and participating in quality audits to enhance manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify areas for quality improvement and recommend solutions
  • Implement changes using quality principles and document requirements
  • Facilitate continuous improvement through training and communication of initiatives
  • Lead implementation of software for inspection data management
  • Participate in quality audits to resolve deficiencies
  • Report quality issues to management
  • Ensure quality requirements for internal manufacturing processes are met
  • Lead internal meetings to drive corrective actions
  • Perform various internal quality and process audits

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of automotive manufacturing experience
  • 3 years of Quality Engineer experience
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and project management
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures
  • Critical and creative thinking in high-stress situations
  • Proficient in problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Preventative action experience with cost savings analysis
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
