Job Description

Overview

The Quality Control Inspector at L3Harris Technologies in Waterdown, Ontario, will be responsible for ensuring product quality through various inspections and analyses. This role involves collaborating with different teams to address quality issues and support inspections in production and customer service to meet the company's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze quality performance data
  • Develop graphs, charts, and quality reports
  • Coordinate with Production, Program Management, and Engineering for product failure analysis
  • Liaise with customers on quality matters and act as the customer's representative
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection tests
  • Ensure all documentation is correct and complete with appropriate signatures
  • Perform internal spot audits related to the Business Process Management System
  • Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's)
  • Support the Corrective Action Request (CAR) process
  • Participate in audits and drive QA metrics in the Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Support Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFEMA)
  • Communicate data in meetings
  • Use the MES and ERP LN systems
  • Create Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Purchase Requests (PR) through Teamcenter

Required skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 standard
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis and reporting
  • Experience in process quality control and product testing
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Graphing, Access)
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement disciplines (Fishbone, Kaizen, Lean, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis)
  • Knowledge of product-related software functionality
  • Basic understanding of the Electro-Mechanical assembly processes
  • ISO9001/AS9100 working knowledge
  • CQE or CQT certification preferred
