Job Description

Overview

Champion Packaging & Distribution Inc. is seeking a Quality Auditor to ensure the quality and integrity of all raw materials received, particularly corrugated products, by inspecting them for compliance with established standards. This full-time role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to uphold quality assurance and necessitates a commitment to individual growth and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of inbound raw materials to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Utilize inspection tools and techniques to assess material quality.
  • Document findings and report deviations to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Manage the creation and submission of detailed quality reports.
  • Analyze inspection data to identify quality issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Contribute to the development of new quality control protocols.
  • Assist in managing nonconforming raw materials and customer product returns.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities within the Quality Department as needed.

Required skills

  • 2 years of quality control experience
  • 2 years of QA/QC experience
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Proficiency in quality inspection tools and measurement instruments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
