Job Description

Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager at Sugaright is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality and food safety at the production facility. This role includes managing quality systems, leading teams for HACCP and compliance, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the quality and food safety systems for the facility
  • Lead the HACCP team and Biosecurity programs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, kosher, and third-party requirements
  • Perform internal and external audits
  • Oversee documentation and certification processes
  • Conduct microbiological and chemistry testing
  • Produce quality results reports and initiate corrective actions
  • Lead internal improvement and project management teams
  • Assist in training facility teams on quality protocols
  • Manage internal databases for documentation and testing data
  • Coordinate customer orders with production and keep customers informed

Required skills

  • BS in Microbiology, Food Science, or equivalent experience
  • Previous quality assurance experience in food manufacturing
  • Experience in microbiology and regulatory compliance
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of laboratory testing procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
