Job Description

Overview

The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) at Home of Hope is responsible for leading and managing the active treatment program for individuals with disabilities. The role requires planning, implementing, and evaluating service programs while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and advocating for the rights of individuals. A focus on community integration and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential to support individuals' social and emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the active treatment program for individuals.
  • Involve individuals and families in program planning.
  • Provide consultation to staff and community agencies to address individual needs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain individual privacy rights.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Coordinate service activities with other departments as necessary.
  • Advocate for the rights and responsibilities of individuals.
  • Monitor and document all records according to program policies.

Required skills

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities (minimum one year)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of program planning and evaluation
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds
  • Reliable motor skills and ability to follow instructions
