Job Description Job Description We are seeking a QC Group Lead for our client in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a hands-on leadership role combining bench-level analytical chemistry testing with day-to-day oversight of the Chemistry QC team, ensuring cGMP-compliant, accurate, and audit-ready operations.Key ResponsibilitiesTesting: Perform routine/complex chemistry analyses; model right-first-time execution and documentation practices.Team Leadership: Balance personal testing duties with scheduling, prioritization, and real-time troubleshooting support for analysts.Quality Oversight: Review data/records for accuracy and compliance before QA review; uphold documentation standards.Investigations: Lead/support OOS, OOT, and deviation investigations; assist with CAPA implementation.Training: Mentor analysts on methods, documentation, and quality standards; support onboarding.Audit Support: Prepare documentation and serve as chemistry liaison during internal, client, and regulatory audits.Process Improvement: Identify workflow gaps and partner with QC, QA, and Operations on improvements.Desired QualificationsBachelor's in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field5-10 years of cGMP lab experienceProven ability to blend bench work with informal leadershipExperience with OOS/deviation/CAPA processesStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in MS Office Company Description Real People.
