Job Description

Overview

The QC Analyst 2 role at bioMerieux involves routine biochemistry testing in a regulated laboratory environment. Key responsibilities include testing raw materials and finished products, supporting out-of-specification reports, and serving as a certified trainer for laboratory procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct routine biochemistry testing according to standard operating procedures
  • Write investigational INVALID reports
  • Provide input for Out of Specification reports
  • Train personnel for Quality Control testing and equipment maintenance
  • Troubleshoot biochemistry laboratory equipment issues
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, GLP, GMP, and HSE requirements
  • Prepare for audits of biochemistry laboratory areas
  • Execute laboratory investigations and documentation of test results
  • Enter data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
  • Assist with revisions to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in a regulated biochemistry or chemistry laboratory
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biomedical preferred
  • Technical knowledge of chemistry or biochemistry laboratory techniques
  • Experience with LIMS and data entry software
  • Advanced technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory audits management
  • Familiarity with domestic and international regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
