Job Description

Overview

The QC Analyst 2 role at bioMérieux in Durham, NC is primarily responsible for conducting routine Biochemistry testing and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and procedures. This position involves testing a variety of samples, documenting results, and supporting investigations while maintaining quality control in the laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct routine Biochemistry testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Document test results in compliance with GDP and SOP requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Biochemistry laboratory equipment.
  • Serve as a certified trainer for laboratory testing.
  • Prepare for and participate in audits (regulatory, internal, and customer).
  • Enter data into LIMS and assist with data entry activities.
  • Assist with revisions of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Execute laboratory investigations as assigned.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biomedical preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a regulated Biochemistry or Chemistry laboratory (GxP testing).
  • Knowledge of quality principles (GMP/GLP) and laboratory techniques.
  • Experience with software tools for data entry and analysis (LIMS).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and audits (FDA, ISO, USDA, etc.).
  • Skilled in MS Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
