Job Description

Overview

The QC Analyst 2 role at bioMerieux involves routine biochemistry testing in the Durham, NC facility. This position is responsible for testing raw materials and finished products, maintaining quality control, documenting results, and providing training in laboratory procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct routine biochemistry testing per standard operating procedures
  • Provide input and support for Out of Specification reports
  • Document test results in compliance with procedures and GDP requirements
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues
  • Participate in regulatory audits of biochemistry laboratory areas
  • Execute laboratory investigations as assigned
  • Enter data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
  • Assist with revisions to QC department standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Collaborate with other departments on validation protocols

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in a regulated Biochemistry or Chemistry laboratory
  • Knowledge of GxP testing principles
  • Proficient in laboratory techniques relevant to chemistry or biochemistry
  • Experience with LIMS for data entry and analysis
  • Technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate technical data effectively in written form
  • Skilled in MS Office tools, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
