Job Description

Overview

The QC Analyst 2 role at bioMérieux in Durham, NC, involves routine Biochemistry testing and documentation within a regulated laboratory environment. This position includes responsibilities such as testing raw materials and finished products, troubleshooting laboratory equipment, and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine Biochemistry testing of raw materials and finished products per SOPs
  • Investigational writing of INVALID reports
  • Provide input for Out of Specification reports
  • Serve as a certified trainer for laboratory testing
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of testing documentation
  • Document test results in compliance with GDP requirements
  • Maintain compliance with SOPs, GLP, GMP, and HSE requirements
  • Prepare for regulatory, customer, and internal audits
  • Execute laboratory investigations as assigned
  • Enter data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
  • Assist with revisions to QC department SOPs
  • Participate in improvement initiatives as directed

Required skills

  • 4+ years of experience in a regulated Biochemistry or Chemistry laboratory
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred in Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • Technical and scientific knowledge of laboratory techniques and quality principles (GMP/GLP)
  • Experience with LIMS and data entry/analysis
  • Advanced technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory audits and compliance standards (FDA, ISO, USDA, etc.)
  • Skilled in MS Office tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
