Overview

Description: Job Summary: Assists in the daily function of the purchasing duties.Duties/Responsibilities:Adheres to all PRH and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.Posts and maintains purchasing orders which may require follow-up. Prepares modifications to purchase orders as necessary.Prepares appropriate purchase requisitions for approval.Prepares PRL's and ITARB's as needed for purchases.Contacts vendors regarding delivery dates, pricing updates and availability of products under the direction of the Administrative Servies Director. Contacts vendors regarding routine problems related to variances in product orders to products received. Reviews balances on Blanket Purchase Agreements daily to ensure charges do not exceed terms of agreement.Maintains computer listing of vendors and records all purchases.Attends staff training sessions as required.Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Qualifications:Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. Six months' experience in a purchasing department.Preferred: Associates degree. Two years' experience in related field. Knowledge: Good communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills. Ability to operate a personal computer.
