Overview

4LEAF, Inc. is seeking a qualified Public Works Inspector in Dublin, California, specializing in Civil Infrastructure and Public Works Construction. The role involves inspecting and documenting construction processes to ensure compliance with project standards and communicating effectively with project managers.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily inspections and prepare detailed written and photographic documentation of construction activities
  • Review plans and specifications continually
  • Coordinate schedules for materials inspection, testing, and surveying
  • Provide accurate measured quantities and review contractor pay estimates
  • Maintain red-lined drawings during construction
  • Report discrepancies to the Construction Manager or Owner's representative
  • Meet with contractors to review proposed work and inspection schedules
  • Develop Punch List items and follow up on corrective measures

Required skills

  • 5 years of experience as a Public Works Inspector
  • Knowledge of Caltrans' Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM)
  • Experience with state-and federally-funded projects
  • Experience on roadway construction, earthwork, grading, underground utilities, retaining walls, and traffic signalizatio
  • Proficient in computer skills, writing, organizational skills, and communication
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stand, and walk on uneven surfaces in various weather conditions
  • Driver's License (required)
