Overview

4LEAF, Inc. is looking for qualified Construction Managers to oversee Civil Infrastructure and Public Works projects in San Francisco, California. The role involves contract administration, compliance evaluation, and coordination of construction activities while ensuring adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pre-construction duties and chair pre-construction meetings
  • Review and evaluate contract requirements and changes, including change order requests
  • Process RFIs, change orders, and pay requests
  • Enforce contract requirements and mitigate potential cost and schedule impacts
  • Provide accurate measured quantities and review contractor pay estimates
  • Conduct continual review of plans and specifications
  • Attend and manage weekly construction meetings
  • Report discrepancies requiring corrective actions to the owner
  • Coordinate construction activities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Represent the client at various meetings and engage with local citizen groups

Required skills

  • 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager on civil infrastructure projects
  • Registration as a CA Civil Engineer or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • Knowledge of Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM)
  • Experience with state-and federally-funded projects
  • Experience in roadway, earthwork and grading, underground utilities, and traffic signalization
  • Strong computer, writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Good problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stand for long periods, walk on uneven surfaces, and work in adverse weather con
