Overview

Join a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Altoona, PA, as a Psychiatry Physician providing outpatient psychiatric services to adults and children. This role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team while ensuring quality mental health care to a diverse community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in an outpatient setting.
  • Manage a diverse caseload that includes both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care and behavioral health teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the FQHC's mission of accessible, community-focused healthcare.

Required skills

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Commitment to serving a diverse and underserved patient population with empathy and professionalism.
