Overview

The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School seeks a board certified or board eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its clinical faculty at Dell Children's Medical Center. This role focuses on providing clinical expertise for evaluating and treating mental health challenges for children and adolescents, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to education across various training levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat children and adolescents with a range of mental health challenges
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, nurses, and social workers
  • Provide on-call coverage for the Mental Health Unit
  • Engage in education for medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees
  • Participate in quality improvement and team-based research initiatives

Required skills

  • Unrestricted medical license in Texas or ability to obtain
  • Board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or board eligible with commitment to certification
  • Eligible for credentialing and privileging by Ascension Seton
  • Leadership, clinical teaching, evaluation, and communication skills
  • Experience in multidisciplinary teams or integrated behavioral health settings
