UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician to join their team at the Texas Behavioral Health Center in Dallas. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide comprehensive behavioral health treatment and foster innovative psychiatric care, bridging the gap between medicine and patient healing. The role emphasizes not only patient care but also teaching and supporting the academic mission of the psychiatry department.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting
  • Teach and supervise psychiatry residents, medical students, and clinical psychology graduate students
  • Support the academic mission of the department of psychiatry
  • Innovate care models for patients with serious mental illness

Required skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry
  • Interest in pursuing an academic career
  • Experience in clinical teaching
  • Specialty training or fellowship (desirable but not necessary)
  • Expertise in forensic psychiatry (desirable but not necessary)
