This role integrates direct patient care with leadership responsibilities in an acute inpatient psychiatry setting, focusing on both adult and geriatric patient populations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in inpatient psychiatry
  • Serve as Facility Medical Director with program leadership responsibilities
  • Collaborate with hospital administration for quality oversight
  • Align clinical care with hospital goals
  • Oversee adult and geriatric psychiatric caseload
  • Participate in tele-psychiatry consults
  • Supervise Nurse Practitioners if applicable

Required skills

  • MD or DO, Board-Certified in Psychiatry
  • Eligible for Indiana medical license
  • Leadership experience or interest
  • Experience in acute inpatient psychiatry
