Job Description

Overview

The Director/General Manager of the Peer Specialists Limited (PSL) team will leverage lived experience to lead this non-profit agency. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff management, and ensuring compliance with contracts while collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain high-quality service delivery to the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of program requirements and service deliverables.
  • Partner with Wisconsin Community Services for technical assistance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of organizational policies.
  • Oversee talent management including hiring and training peer specialist staff.
  • Monitor agency and program budgets for financial health.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to pursue funding opportunities.
  • Manage board meeting preparations and reports.
  • Cultivate community collaborations to expand PSL's reach.
  • Interface with funders to advocate for PSL services.
  • Provide recovery-focused coaching and mentorship utilizing lived experience.
  • Analyze quality assurance surveys to drive program improvements.
  • Conduct individual mentorship and supervision sessions for Peer Specialists.
  • Ensure documentation and productivity meet contract requirements.

Required skills

  • Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist and/or Certified Parent Peer Specialist
  • Minimum of two years providing direct peer support services
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred
  • Expert understanding of peer support frameworks
  • Ability to lead during crisis situations
  • Proficiency in resource management and organizational skills
  • Cultural intelligence to interact with diverse populations
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
