Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dependable, experienced Rental Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day repairs, maintenance requests, property turnovers, and general upkeep of residential rental properties.This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, works well independently, and is comfortable handling a wide variety of residential repairs. We are looking for a true jack-of-all-trades who can troubleshoot a problem, determine what needs to be done, and complete the repair correctly without needing constant supervision.Responsibilities include:Complete maintenance requests and general property repairsTroubleshoot plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliance, and other residential maintenance issuesRepair and replace faucets, toilets, drains, garbage disposals, supply lines, fixtures, switches, outlets, and lightingPerform drywall repair, painting, caulking, and touch-up workRepair doors, locks, cabinets, trim, flooring, siding, decks, and other building componentsInstall or replace appliances, fixtures, hardware, and other materialsPerform basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshootingComplete rental turnovers and make-ready workPerform preventative maintenance and identify potential problems before they become larger repairsPick up and purchase materials needed for assigned jobsKeep work areas clean and professionalMaintain company tools and equipmentCommunicate clearly regarding repairs completed, additional work needed, and materials requiredRecognize when a repair should be handled by a licensed or specialized contractorOccasionally assist with remodeling or construction projects when maintenance work allowsQualifications:Previous maintenance, handyman, remodeling, or residential construction experience preferredWorking knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general residential repairsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage daily responsibilitiesDependable and able to show up consistentlyGood communication skillsValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordComfortable using common hand and power toolsAbility to lift construction materials, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day
