Overview

Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Salem, Oregon is looking for a Property & Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance and care of the church's facilities. This hands-on leadership role involves ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for worship and community use through efficient management of maintenance tasks and facility improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative care
  • Maintain buildings, landscaping, irrigation systems, and outdoor spaces
  • Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and ready for daily use
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Coordinate major repairs and system replacements with vendors
  • Monitor building conditions and identify needed improvements
  • Plan and manage facility improvement projects
  • Obtain bids, coordinate contractors, and oversee project completion
  • Track maintenance and utility budgets
  • Control costs through smart purchasing and vendor management
  • Ensure compliance with inspections and safety requirements
  • Address issues proactively and maintain proper documentation
  • Support church services, events, and school operations

Required skills
