Overview

Job Title Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of supporting schedules, variance analysis, and resolution of accounting issuesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring across a portfolio of commercial assetsPrepare financial reporting packages under multiple accounting bases, including GAAP and tax basis reportingSupport reporting requests for ownership, lenders, and senior leadershipCoordinate with external audit and tax partners during year-end review and audit processesReview operating expenses, capital expenditures, insurance, and real estate tax activity for assigned propertiesInterpret commercial lease provisions related to tenant recoveries, CAM, taxes, and other pass-through expenses, including preparation of annual tenant reconciliationsOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and lease administration processes to ensure operational accuracy and complianceAssist with sales and use tax filings where applicablePrepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field3+ years of accounting experience within commercial real estate, property accounting, or related industryExperience with retail, mixed-use, or commercial property portfolios preferredStrong understanding of financial statements and multiple accounting methodologiesExperience working with property management/accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platformsAdvanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentComfortable adapting to new technologies, automation tools, and process improvement initiatives
